Festakt: 100 Jahre Amt für Jugend und Familie
Strips that hold everything together. Each strip plays an important role in a system like in the Youth and Family Office (Amt für Jugend und Familie).
At their 100th anniversary they celebrate what was, what is, what will be and what will remain. And we were invited to celebrate with them.
In 2017 the Youth and Family Office Graz celebrated their 100th anniversary. The goal was to make the ceremony creative and more alive. We set the theme ‘Das was war, das was ist, das was kommt, das was bleibt’ (What was, what is, what will be, what will remain), to represent all the work that has happened during the last 100 years, the actual happening of the ceremony, the looking forward to the future and the things you want to keep in the future.
Every part of the theme was assigned to a different location: ‘What will be’ at the entrance of the building, to welcome the guests to the ceremony; ‘What was’ to the banqueting hall, because there happened the review of the development of the Office; ‘What is’ to the catering area, where people will spend time together and be part of the present; And ‘What will remain’ was the area, where they got a small gift, a succulent, at the end of the ceremony;
But not just the design, rather the whole ceremony concept was created. We had an activity bag, including different missions that should be accomplished during the ceremony. Like taking pictures with a disposable camera, carry large-scale images through the hall instead of using power point presentations, throwing balloons, playing party horns and throw paper streamers.
